Lotspeich Company was established in 1928 in Miami Florida. By 1963, the company evolved, offering construction services not only in flooring, but also in acoustical ceilings, metal framing, drywall, and raised access flooring. Under the leadership of Jay W. Lotspeich, the company changed names to Lotspeich Company. In 1966, Mr. Lotspeich established an office in Fort Lauderdale, which was followed by another in Tampa in 1973.
In 1967, Edward Fee, after working for Owens Corning Fiberglass in New York City, decided to move to Fort Lauderdale and join Lotspeich Company as a Project Manager. The following year, he was given an opportunity to partner with Jay Lotspeich and later became President of Lotspeich Co. of Florida, Inc.
The company continued to grow and flourish under Ed’s leadership and in 1992, David Fee, Ed’s oldest son bought Jay Lotspeich’s interest in the company. Since 1992, the company has been run and operated by the Fee family. Currently Ed’s three sons David, Mike and Jeff are all partners in the company.
Since 1992 the company has expanded its product offerings. Currently we furnish and install drywall construction, acoustical ceilings, doors and hardware, building specialties, exterior finishes, exterior light gauge metal framing, metal trusses and aluminum composite metal panels. Our corporate office is located in Broward County, FL and we have an office located in West Palm Beach, FL which helps us serve our primary market, South Florida.
Through all the growth and expansion of services, we are still proud to consider ourselves a family managed business. We believe there is something very unique about our company, our culture and our people. We feel that our uniqueness and success is directly attributable to our core values that have been instilled in the company since the beginning: Responsibility, trust, communication and serving our customers while exceeding their expectations.
